Performance Samples release free Vista II Core tech demo (Kontakt strings & brass)

Performance Samples have released a free tech demo (prototype) for their up and coming orchestral library Vista II – Core for Native Instruments Kontakt.

The Vista II – Core title, a work-in-progress project that is in advanced development stages, puts its main focus on symphonic strings, yet offers a bunch of “bonus” instruments and patches as well – like brass, woodwinds and others. The official commercial release is expected for Q1 or Q2 2025. Library cost is TBA.

The free test version offers a limited selection of Kontakt patches. The first is a dynamic, long articulated string section module called String Ens. Whisper Sustains – which consists of ensemble violins, cellos and basses (the full library features violas as well).

The second patch is Soft Brass Sustains – featuring dynamically expressive, layered (unstackable) samples of solo trumpet, solo french horn and solo trombone. Also included is a separate untuned version.

The last patch is Tutti Shorts which is an ensemble of arco articulated strings and winds.

Performance Samples Vista II – Core tech demo is compatible with the complete version of NI Kontakt (6.8.0 and above). Kontakt is supported in stand-alone mode for Windows/PC (64-bit) and Mac as well as in the following VST plugin formats: VST3, AAX & AU. Tech demo is less than 2GB.
