Last week, UK-based plugin developer Wave Alchemy have launched a new and free reverb VST effect – introducing Magic7, a Bricasti M7 emulation.
Bricasti M7 – or the Bricasti Design Model 7 – is a high-end reverb hardware unit. The original stereo reverb processor is a mixing production gear, primarily used in professional studios.
Without comparison, Magic7 by Wave Alchemy already seems like one of the best digital reverbs released this year. Beyond acting as a very decent quality reverb, it also contains a variety of other useful features with some advanced capabilities.
The FX parameters include modulation (labeled Flux), Ensemble (chorus), in addition to a Low parameter (bass frequency band) & Air (which is a mid/high band) and Duck (“ducking”, a volume gate). It also has a Smooth parameter (transient shaper) and pre-delay.
Wave Alchemy Magic7 is a Windows and Mac compatible VST FX which is available in the following plugin forms: VST3, AU & AAX.
