Boy Soloist Benedict Audio Imperia Glade 1

Audio Imperia Glade gets an update, Benedict Solo Legato fixed Kontakt

Audio Imperia Glade launched late last year as one of the most impressive free orchestral libraries available for Kontakt Player, but it arrived with an issue in Boy Soloist Benedict, whose Legato Ooh patch had silent transitions. Audio Imperia acknowledged the bug and promised a fix – and now, months after, we finally have an update.

The update is automatically delivered to all existing Glade owners through Native Access, so users don’t need to download anything manually. Simply open Native Instruments Native Access and the latest version of Glade will appear as an available update.

The Glade Toolkit

Glade offers a well‑rounded orchestral palette that leans heavily into expressive, cinematic writing. The strings provide warm, evolving sustains ideal for emotional scoring, while the winds bring much of the library’s character with their rich, lyrical tone and atmospheric articulations. The percussion section adds both traditional and organic colors, giving you everything from deep hits to more textured, nature‑inspired sounds. Vocals round out the collection with an ethereal quality that blends beautifully into ambient or cinematic arrangements. Despite being a free library, Glade delivers a surprisingly versatile toolkit for modern composers.

Two Versions, One Serial Number

When you get Glade, you actually receive two versions of the library: the 4GB Glade, which is a lite and streamlined edition, and the larger 12GB Glade Studio, which includes all available features and expanded content. This makes the free offering surprisingly deep, giving composers both a lightweight option and a fully featured version to explore.

Glade by Audio Imperia is fully compatible with the free NI Kontakt Player and requires version 7.10.9 or higher. It also works in the standalone Kontakt application (Windows/macOS), as well as a dedicated plugin in all major DAWs via VST (VST2), VST3, AU and AAX formats.
