The latest from the Fracture Sounds Blueprint series presents a deep sampled rock-style drum kit. A free Kontakt Player instrument, the Blueprint Drum Kit sample set provides a variety of quality percussive elements.
It has a couple of round robins for most of the samples (that number varies) as well as multiple velocity layers, and it also provides three microphone perspectives that allow you to shape the sound (and the psychoacoustic dynamics of the sound) even further.
Fracture Sounds provide you with a Spot, OH (overhead) as well as a spatial Room microphone perspective that you can of course mix or isolate.
The sounds featured are your standard drum kit samples, but there are some auxiliary percussion instruments as well.
According to the developer, the Blueprint Drum Kit is also aimed at film scoring and more specifically dramatic, action-driven and epic, cinematic-style productions.
It was captured and recorded in a rather spacious studio hall, with larger-scale drums, toms and cymbals involved – played using heavy drum sticks.
Blueprint Drum Kit is available as a free Kontakt Player 7 Native Instruments sample library, compatible with 64-bit Windows and Mac environments. Supported plugin formats are VST (VST3), AU & AAX. Kontakt also works as a standalone application. NKS is supported.
