Soundtoys has kicked off its 12 Days of Soundtoys Giveaway, running from December 8-19, 2025. Over the course of twelve days, the company is releasing six VST plugins completely free for Windows 64-bit and macOS.
Each plugin is only available for a 24‑hour window (midnight-11:59 PM New York time). Once you claim it during that timeframe (email required), the license is yours permanently – but miss the window and it’s gone. Activation requires an iLok account, though no physical dongle is needed.
The first release, Little PrimalTap, dropped on December 8. This compact delay unit captures the quirky character of the classic Lexicon Prime Time 93 hardware from the late 70s, offering vintage‑style echoing, looping, modulation and coloring in a streamlined package.
EchoBoy Jr. – released on December 10 as the second free plugin – is easily the most impressive release so far. It delivers a distinctly analog‑inspired character, with echoes that feel warm, lofi, gritty and authentic. The plugin captures the essence of seven classic delay styles while offering modern flexibility through stereo modes (Normal, Wide & Ping Pong), pitch‑glide and time‑stretching capabilities. Its ability to add saturation and sculpt the tone in various ways makes it both creative and practical, and the overall sound quality stands out as rich, polished and professional.
More plugins will follow every two days until December 18, with the final day marking the end of the promotion. While the official lineup hasn’t been fully revealed, many producers are hoping to see favorites like SpaceBlender, a lush reverb effect, which would make a fitting addition to the giveaway.
